　　【前言】中国大连进出口商品交易会是经原中华人民共和国外经贸部批准，中国东北三省一区主办，大连市人民政府承办的交易会。多年来，在国家有关部委和国内外商协会组织的大力支持下，交易会现已发展成为中国东北和环渤海经济区，以及东北亚经济区重要的国际性工业博览会。

　　众所周知，东北地区是中国重要的老工业基地，在国家发展中起着举足轻重的作用。为了振兴东北老工业基地，使之在中国经济飞速发展的进程中发挥更大的作用，国家已启动巨资用于东北地区的工业结构调整和老工业基地改造，这为海内外有识之士大展宏图提供了难得的机遇。毋庸置疑，潜力巨大的东北地区是中国工业领域充满商机的重要市场之一。

　　2008年“大交会”将整合东北地区装备制造、电子及冶金等产业资源，为国际工业领域的技术交流与经贸合作搭建合作共赢的平台。

　　【上届概况】上届交易会展出面积4万平方米。来自美国、英国、法国、日本、韩国、荷兰、印度、南非、老挝、埃及、意大利、奥地利、俄罗斯、卢旺达、尼泊尔、新加坡和香港、台湾等23个国家和地区的46个团组到会参展、参观和洽谈，海内外观众达6万人次，外商总数超过2000人。

　　China Dalian Import & Export Commodities Fair (DIECF) was the region fair approved by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, P. R. China and organized by Dalian Municipal Government. For years, under the great support of the Chinese government DIECF has become the important international industrial expo in the Northeast China and Bohai economic ring and Northeastern Asia economic zone.

　　As is well known, as China’s important industrial base, Northeast China plays an important role in the nation’s development. At present, China government has provided huge financial support for revitalizing northeastern China’s old industrial base. The Northeast China area will be sure to be the one of the most important market of the China’s industry.  

　　The DIECF in 2008 will integrate the resources of the whole Northeast China’s industrial resources including equipment manufacturing， Electron and metallurgical industry, etc. to create an international business and cooperation platform for all the attendees.

　　The scale of the 20th DIECF reached 40,000 sq. meters of exhibits equaling to more than 1000 companies. the 20th DIECF has attracted more than 46 special purchasing delegations from over 23 countries and regions including U.S.A, U.K, France, Italy, Japan, South Korea, India, South Africa, Laos, Egypt, Australia, Russia, Rwanda, Nepal, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong, etc. and 60,000 visitors has attended the Fair.
